1. By Baptism — Applicants for membership by baptism may be accepted at any service. It is expected that applicants will be baptized as early as possible or practical. Applicants are not enrolled as members of the Church until after their baptism.
2. By Letter — Applicants for membership by letter are accepted upon presentation of a letter from a Baptist Church of like faith and order. It is expected that the applicant has been baptized into the membership of a Baptist Church. When the applicant for membership by letter does not have the letter in hand, the Clerk of the Church may aid in securing the letter upon request from the applicant. In the absence of a letter a person can be admitted by Christian Experience.
3. By Christian Experience — Applicants may be received upon their own statements affirming saving faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and baptism by immersion in a Baptist Church of like faith and order.
4. By Restoration — A member of Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church, who has been dismissed from the fellowship for any cause, may be restored upon an open confession to the Church and a request for restoration.
Prayer allows us direct communication with God. When we pray, we are basically having a conversation with Him. There is no right or wrong way to pray, nor are there universal phrases or requirements. Prayer is a privilege given by God that allows us to build a relationship with Him. Worship, on the same token, is revering God. While prayer is a way of speaking with God and giving requests and supplication, worship is a humbling of our spirit to give God glory for what He as done and will do. God deserves praise and desires our praise; just as He loves us, He wants to know that we love Him, and we can do this by worshiping Him. Both of these are necessities for building our relationship with the Lord, so it is important to understand the concepts and how to pray and worship
